Last night, boyfriend and I were talking if we plan to go out today for a date before he goes to a barkada night out with his college friends. I was a bit tired because of the workload this week and wanted to sleep Saturday away, but cheesiness got to me and decided that I want to have some quality time with him (Sorry! I know cheesy =)). So since I still didn’t feel like doing something that would exert much effort like going to the movies and the mall, I told him that we can probably have dinner somewhere near my house. Of course good old Google was my answer to where we would go and I stumbled upon a blog post from Our Awesome Planet on the newly opened cafe here in Taytay.
The cafe has a small indoor area, but you can opt to dine in outside. I found out from that blog post that it was actually a furniture showroom which turns to a cafe during the weekend, hitting two birds in one stone, eh? The interior was modern and a mix and match of different designs. It wasn’t too overwhelming and it was pleasing to the eye. I suddenly wondered again why I didn’t take up interior design way back in college, rar.
14 Four Beef Tapa (P190). I was waiting for the salty taste of it but was surprised (which I shouldn’t have been because I read it from Our Awesome Planet, doh) that it tastes very sweet and most kids would probably love it. Wrong move for me because I was expecting salt at the tip of my tongue. True that it tastes almost like Tocino.
Amaretto French Toast (can’t remember the price 😦 ) SO YUMMEEHH. Hahaha. It isn’t the usual bread it worked and we loved it!
Food was great and was served very fast. I don’t think we waited more than 10 minutes. Customer experience wasn’t that very good though because the waitress that was assigned to us kept leaving even though we aren’t finished ordering. And we had to request to change the official receipt twice because she kept missing to include all our orders in the list and even in the final bill computation.
That wouldn’t stop me from going back though. I hope I won’t get the same experience again.
They also have an official site which contains their menu and the directions, check this out. Since this is located in a residential area, parking is limited to street parking. They are open during Fridays and weekend only and it’s best to have a reservation for the day. Also check out the post from Our Awesome Planet here.
This just inspired me to look for other local restaurants around here. 🙂
