Last leg of my Mindanao marathon post! What’s the best thing to do in CDO? White water rafting! But… let me tell you about Travelers Pod first 🙂
After 1 hour of roro from Caimiguin and a 3 hour drive to CDO, we finally arrived at Travelers Pod. We really had a great stay here as the money paid for this accommodation was cheap and super worth it.
Since we are a group of 11, we were divided into two groups. One room would have 4 people, the other room would have the rest of 7 people. The room was nice and clean. It’s a bit crowded and I remember Hong Kong hostel but the bed and comfort room was nice and there’s free Wifi so I’m sold. Our room was consist of 3 beds and one extra bed.
The next morning, we went to Bukidnon to our Dahilayan Forest Park experience which I blogged about here. During the afternoon, we went back to CDO for the white water rafting. We took the Advanced Rafting which has 21 rapids. It took us about 3 hours. Wooohooo! I like this better than ziplining cause I’m not elevated and even if I don’t know how to swim, I have a life vest anyway lol. Pictures here are either taken by my cousin’s camera or from the 1st Rafting Adventure to whom we availed our rafting package. Sucks to not have an waterproof camera. 😐
Ready to raft! On a side note, I look weird here (-_-‘)
Now get ready for action packed pictures lol.Our guides seriously did have fun torturing us like make us stand on the raft on he way to the rapids or angling the raft too splash water on us. They even tried to turn our raft upside down but they did not succeed! *insert evil laugh*And the First fall award goes to my cousin! Hehe :pOur guides’ last attempt. Second fall from my other cousin but it was not capture here. Hehe.Ended the night with “Wooohh!” shot.We had so much fun but our muscles were starting to cry by the time we went back to Travelers Pod. I felt like a had a crick in the neck and was about to grow wings on my back lol.
We wouldn’t be able to do all this without the help of kuya Jun. He was our contact for packages on our Dahilayan and Rafting trip and of course the service within CDO and Bukidnon. If you want to avail of their services, you may contact them on the number below or through their Facebook page.
If I calculated correctly, our CDO+Camiguin+Bukidnon trip cost me about 5 thousand pesos, including the food and the goodies to take home. That doesn’t include the plane ticket though.
Of course the next day, we had to go back to Manila, to reality. Zzzz. I had an obligatory shot with the plane.
Watch out for my posts on the restaurants we visited during our stay! 🙂
